News2Day visit to 6th class
On Monday the 15th of January our class had a very special visit! Barry Gallagher, the presenter of News2Day and Rob the camera man came in to see our special sewing talent in action!
News2Day heard that about our amazing skills and positive attitudes and wanted to see it for themselves. They came in to see our sewing, embroidery & crocheting.
We were nervous and excited ahead of the big day. We had a lot of work to do to make sure our classroom was in ship shape ahead of the arrival of our special guest. We made sure we looked sharp in our school uniforms. Ms O’Dowd had her best clothes laid out for the morning.
Barry and Rob finally found their way to our classroom after getting lost in our school! We greeted them and introduced ourselves. Rob showed us his expensive, fancy camera equipment. We were naturals on camera from the beginning. We found a spot in the classroom and got in the zone with our embroidery. We almost forgot the cameras were there!
After Rob got some shots of us doing our sewing, Barry began interviewing us! Cian went first and set the bar super high! Olly, Robert, Mia, Katelyn, Miracle and Arfa were all interviewed for the programme. They were amazing speakers and so funny!
We were so excited for our slot on News2Day to be aired. We couldn't believe it when the programme was aired that same day! We loved watching ourselves on T.V.
Our News2Day experience was so exciting. We love watching the news and it was amazing to be on it!
